The Milwaukee Bucks signed guard Tim Frazier on Tuesday, adding depth at the position after an injury to Malcolm Brogdon.
The 28-year-old Frazier played in 47 games (17 starts) this season for the New Orleans Pelicans before being waived on February 28. He averaged 5.0 points, 4.4 assists and 2.9 rebounds in 19.3 minutes per game.
Frazier started the preseason with the Bucks, signing as a free agent on September 22, but was waived on October 15.
The 6ft guard, a Penn State product, has played with four teams in five seasons. He has career averages of 5.1 points and 4.1 assists in 233 games.
Brogdon has started 64 games for the Bucks, averaging a career-high 15.6 points. The team announced on Saturday that he sustained a minor plantar fascia tear in his right foot on Friday during the game against the Miami Heat.
While the team did not give a timetable for his return, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported he is likely to miss six to eight weeks for the NBA-leading Bucks.
