Minnesota Timberwolves' Taj Gibson attempted to block a Sacramento Kings' shot with his shoe

Taj Gibson attempted to block a shot with his shoe during the Minnesota Timberwolves' win over the Sacramento Kings on Monday night.

The Timberwolves' forward got himself in a tangle as he posted up Sacramento's Nemanja Bjelica two minutes into the game.

Gibson scored with a lefty jump hook but lost his shoe in the process. With the pacey Kings looking for an immediate response, he was forced to chase back down court on defense with the shoe on his hand.

When Bjelica drove into the lane, Gibson was left with no choice but to try to block the Serbian forward's shot with the shoe still on his hand!

Gibson's shoe appeared to make very minor contact with Bjelica's shot but help defender Karl-Anthony Towns arrived on the scene to provide a legitimate rejection, pinning the shot to the backboard to deny the Kings.
