Eric Bledsoe rose to reject James Harden at the rim to cap a stellar display as the Milwaukee Bucks comfortably defeated the Houston Rockets.
Bledsoe scored a team-high 23 points on 9-of-19 shooting and handed out seven assists to lead the Bucks to a dominant 108-94 victory, their 56th of the campaign.
Harden has had his way with defenders on every NBA team this season, shooting his way to a phenomenal 36.2 points per game, eight better than his closest scoring rival Paul George.
But he got little change out of a Bucks defense that limited him to 23 points on 26 shots and allowed him to make just one of his nine three-point attempts.
Bledsoe rugged defense played a big part in denying Harden and he produced a defensive highlight play to complement his strong offensive display.
With 8:36 left in the game and the Bucks leading 98-79, Harden drove off the left wing, beating Bledsoe and racing into the paint towards the basket. Milwaukee center Brook Lopez blocked his path and slowed Harden's progress, giving the tenacious Bledsoe the time he needed to recover ground on the Rockets All-Star guard.
As Harden attempted to lay the ball home over the off-balance Lopez, Bledsoe rose to swat Harden's effort off the backboard and away from danger.
