The Denver Nuggets hope Gary Harris will not be sidelined for too long after he was hurt against the Toronto Raptors on Monday.

Harris was only playing his second game back from an ankle injury when he had to leave the 106-103 win in Toronto with an unspecified issue, understood to be either to his hip or groin.

The 24-year-old swingman scored three points in nine minutes before leaving the game and not returning.

Malik Beasley came off the bench in Harris' absence and performed well, scoring 15 points which is more than double his season average.

"He's frustrated, just getting back from an injury, and to have that (and) not be able to come back in tonight," Nuggets coach Michael Malone said.

"We'll see how severe the injury is, and hopefully we can get him back really soon. But Gary's such a big part of what we're trying to do. Big loss."

Harris is averaging 16.6 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.9 assists through 21 games this season.
