Women's sport takes centre stage on Sky Sports Mix on Thursday with 24 hours of dedicated programming; football, boxing, cricket, rugby union and rugby league among the sports in focus

Continuing its commitment to women's sport, Sky Sports is celebrating International Women's Day this Thursday with a 24-hour takeover highlighting the achievements of female athletes over the past 12 months.
On March 8, Sky Sports Mix (Sky channel 121) will be dedicated to women's sport. You can watch some of the best episodes of the 'My Icon' and 'Sporting Greats' series, the former of which includes interviews with British tennis star Heather Watson and legendary England footballer Rachel Yankey as they discuss the inspirational figures that have had an impact on their careers.
Other highlights include a replay of Irish sensation Katie Taylor retaining her WBA lightweight world title against Jessica McCaskill back in December. Taylor improved her professional record to an 8-0 KO4 after a tough test from Chicago-born McCaskill at York Hall.
Taylor continues to fly the flag for women's boxing and will once again be gracing our screens to defend her IBF and WBA lightweight titles against Victoria Bustos of Argentina on April 28, live on Sky Sports.
Last summer, the England women's cricket team created history at Lord's as Anya Shrubsole led the side to a heroic nine-run victory over India in the ICC Women's World Cup Final. At 7.30pm, 'Winning Over The World' recounts the euphoric match, as well as the impact this victory has had on both grassroots and professional women's cricket.
From 6.15pm, we're celebrating both rugby league and rugby union with two brand new programmes. 'Women's 6 Nations: The Story So Far' takes an in-depth look at the 2018 Women's Six Nations tournament, featuring analysis and action from all the key talking points so far.
'Women's Rugby Super League Preview' is a first for Sky Sports as we discuss the big stories ahead of the brand new summer tournament. Announced last year, the 2018 Women's Super League franchise is led by RFL director Sarah-Jane Gray, and clubs will be expected to come under the umbrella of their local professional club brands.
After a spectacular year in 2018, Sky Sports are committed to showing more women's sport than ever before. Highlights to look forward to include more cricket from the Women's Kia Super League in August, and the ICC Women's World Twenty20 in November.
From the world of golf, the LPGA and LET continue, as well as Sky Sports showing all five majors including the British Open.
