Chris Kirk found the perfect response to a poor front nine during the second round of the US Open - a hole-out for eagle at the 10th.
The American started the day at level par, but he turned at four over after three bogeys in four holes from the third and another at the ninth.
Kirk's torrid outward nine left him battling to make the halfway cut and needing something to happen on the inward stretch at Chambers Bay.
And he conjured up a moment of sheer brilliance at the 483-yard 10th, nailing a smooth iron which pitched on the front-right section of the green before taking the right-to-left break straight into the cup.
