The 145th Open: Wayne Riley picks his top five shots from Troon but which was best?
Last Updated: 18/07/16 10:12pm
After a stunning finish to The Open, Wayne Riley picked his top five shots of the Championship, with all of them coming from the final group of the final round.
Given the quality on show during that head-to-head battle between Henrik Stenson and Phil Mickelson, perhaps it is no surprise that the pair are in direct competition again for our shot of Championship.
First up is Mickelson's second stroke on the first hole, a shot that really set the tone for a truly remarkable 18-hole duel, and that the last of our five options is Stenson's Championship-winning putt indicates that the level of skill on show never wavered.
The other shots on offer are Mickelson's second shot on the fourth to set him up for an eagle, Stenson's monster putt at the 15th and his fearless approach to 17.
