Ex-Marine Aaron Moon joined Di Dougherty in The Open Zone to showcase his swing, discuss his life-changing injury and his hopes of playing professional golf.
Having lost his right leg, below the knee, after his vehicle was blown up in Afghanistan, Moon was been helped by the On Course Foundation and is now targeting a spot on the pro tour with the ultimate aim of one day competing at a major.
"Through the On Course Foundation, after getting injured it got me back into playing the game against able-bodied and disabled people," he told Sky Sports.
"That gives you the confidence to realise that you're not that much different. Now it's got me employment, I'm assistant pro at Bolton Golf Club with the aim of turning pro at the end of the year.
"I want to try and compete on one of the smaller tours like the EuroPro to see if I can do it and then build my way up and hopefully one day be out here with these guys [at The Open]."
