Wayne Riley was keen to demonstrate the difficulties of trying to get up and down from the greenside rough at Royal Troon's iconic Postage Stamp, but hitting a "low shank" probably wasn't in his plans!
Radar was live on Sky Sports News HQ with reporter James Haddock during the build-up to The 145th Open and, armed with a lob wedge, the charismatic Aussie attempted to pitch onto the green from the wispy rough on the left.
They discussed the 123-yard hole as they waited for South Korean star Jeunghun Wang to escape from a greenside bunker (he needed two attempts - four less than Rory McIlroy on the same hole!), and Radar dropped a ball in the rough, took his stance and picked out his target.
Wang's caddie was raking the bunker as Radar took his swing, and the ball pinged off the hosel at a 45-degree angle, low and hard, missing Wang's caddie by only a few feet.
Undeterred, Radar fared far better with his second attempt, with Wang's caddie wisely removing himself from the bunker and out of range!
