Rory McIlroy explains what makes The Open such a special event

Ahead of The 145th Open heading to Royal Troon this week, live on Sky Sports, Rory McIlroy has been revealing his love for golf's oldest major.
The world No 4 was forced to miss last year's event after rupturing ankle ligaments playing football, although he is now fully fit and expected to challenge for a fifth major title this time around.
McIlroy lifted the Claret Jug the last time he featured in the Championship in 2014, finishing two strokes clear of Rickie Fowler and Sergio Garcia in the first of three consecutive worldwide victories - a run which saw him move top of the world rankings.
Big crowds are expected in South Ayrshire this week for the ninth Open to be held at Troon, with McIlroy likely to be backed a large British support.
