Rory McIlroy looks back at 2014 Open victory ahead of Royal Troon

Rory McIlroy is looking forward to making his first appearance at The Open this week since lifting the Claret Jug at Royal Liverpool.
The world No 4 missed last year's tournament through injury, but has fond memories of the third major of the year having claimed a two-shot win over Rickie Fowler and Sergio Garcia in 2014.
McIlroy followed a bogey-free 66 by posting the same score in round two to head into the weekend with a four-stroke cushion over the chasing pack in Merseyside.
The Northern Irishman raced six ahead thanks to a third-round 68, before a steady 71 on Sunday was enough to hand McIlroy his third of four major titles.
McIlroy would follow Open victory with another triumph at the WGC-Bridgestone a fortnight later to move to world No 1, before securing back-to-back major titles with a one-shot win at the PGA Championship the following month.
