The Course
Routenburn Golf Club is famous as the home club to the Torrance family; where European Tour and Ryder Cup legend, Sam Torrance learned to play the game under the tuition of his father and golf teaching guru, Bob Torrance.
Located in Largs, Ayrshire’s popular seaside town, the James Braid designed 18-hole course, measures 5,650 yards and can be enjoyed by golfers of all abilities.
Unquestionably the highlight of this hilly parkland course is the spectacular unparalleled panoramic views over the Firth of Clyde, Arran and The Cumbraes, which unfold before you as you approach each hole.
The 16th at Routenburn. You can’t beat the magnificent view from the tee, with views across Arran, Millport and the Ailsa Craig. That’s just about as good as it gets from my point of view.

The Hole
At 336 yards, the 16th at Routenburn is an elevated tee overlooking the Firth of Clyde and beyond to Milport and Ailsa Craig. The spectacular view from the tee is a highlight of this downhill par 4.
