Jason Day holed one of the longest putts of the season when the weather-delayed third round of the PGA Championship resumed at Baltusrol.
The world No 1 was unable to begin his third round on schedule on Saturday as storms arrived in the region shortly after lunchtime, and play was eventually abandoned for the day over four hours later.
Day finally got going early on Sunday morning and made a solid start with five opening pars, but he left himself in three-putt territory at the sixth when he pulled his tee shot into the thick, damp rough on the left and gouged his second onto the front edge of the green.
The defending champion would have been more than happy to lag his first putt to tap-in range, but he judged the speed and the line to perfection and celebrated an unexpected bonus when he ball dropped into the cup, much to the delight of the crowd.
Watch the video above to see how Jason Day picked up his first birdie of the third round in unlikely fashion.
