Ben Crane came up with an innovative way to tackle the tough par-four sixth hole during the second round of the Zurich Classic of New Orleans.
Rather than take the straightforward route, the American decided the best approach would be to aim up the adjoining 12th fairway, trimming around 40 yards from the hole.
Aiming 45 degrees left of the usual target, Crane smashed his drive through trees and bushes to the left of the tee, leaving himself a blind 158-yard second into the green.
The tactic certainly confused the PGA Tour's shot tracker, which described his drive as "247 yards to unknown"!
Crane tugged his second left of the pin, but he was able to two-putt for a safe par from over 30 feet. Click on the video to see how he got there ...
