Sky Sports will once again be home of the majors in 2017, with another year of unrivaled golf coverage

With a new generation of talent fast emerging, Rich Beem looks at those who could make a big impact on the PGA Tour in 2017.

Bryson DeChambeau

He's my No 1 selection this year because his approach to the game is so different, and I'm really interested to see how everything shapes up for him in his first full year on the PGA Tour.

There was a film I watched again recently with Brad Pitt in called Moneyball, and to me when I see Bryson's name I feel that he is the "Moneyball" of golf right now. If everything he tries works then he looks like a superhero, but if it doesn't then they are things which shouldn't have even worked in the first place.

DeChambeau has the same length clubs, from his 3-iron right through to his sand and lob wedges, but that hasn't always been such a hot idea. When you go through some of his numbers, his sand-save percentage with the shorter irons and a lot of his chipping stats aren't very good - and that's being diplomatic!

Those stats are something he'll have to clean up, while he also has the unorthodox side-saddle putting style which Sam Snead proved can work man years ago.

The kid has his own way of doing things and I'm looking forward to seeing how everything progresses for him. He has already had some quality starts, but the consistency hasn't quite been there so far.

Also See:

Jon Rahm

I think this kid can do it all and has got all of the talent in the world. He's a former world No 1 amateur who hits a mile and has already made a solid start to the season, so it seems like the sky is the limit right now.

He is on fire and has so much potential, so I'd like to think he's going to play around the world and not just limit himself to the PGA Tour. He can expand his horizons and sharpen his game by travelling around the world.

I think that'll do his game the world of good also playing on the European Tour and, coming from Spain, he can pick the brains of the likes of Sergio Garcia - which certainly isn't a bad thing.

Grayson Murray

Murray finished second on the Web.Com Tour money list last year and his stats say he beats the ball out there a long way. He hits it hard, finds the ball and hits it again just as hard.

I don't know a great deal about him, but looking at what he has already done and some of the numbers he looks darn impressive.

He has already had a tie for eighth this season and I'm intrigued to see how he can follow that up in the New Year.

Wesley Bryan

This guy is known for the trickshots him and his brother do on YouTube, but his ability is clear to see with three wins on the Web.Com Tour last year to end the season as No 1.

Out of the 14 rounds he's played this year, his highest score is 72 and that's only one-over-par. The guy is already finding consistent numbers across the board and that bodes very well.

I think the rounds that he has posted, even though they're not the most typical of courses are still very impressive. The consistency stands out to me big time. so he's another one who should have a solid year and I'm interested in finding out more about him.

Seamus Power

I'd heard of him but didn't know too much about him, despite his win on the Web.Com Tour last year and his appearance at the Olympics. I know he's Irish though and I love everybody from Ireland!

He had the brains of Padraig Harrington and Paul McGinley to pick in Rio and even if he only took a couple of things from them then that will surely help him in the future.

Power has already put together some great rounds this season and he'll learn from the mistakes that he has made in the final rounds of some of the events. He already knows how to get himself in contention in these events, he just needs to figure out how to play his Sunday's a little more differently.

I don't know what happens for him in those final rounds, but getting in to contention three times in your first four starts is no fluke and shows he's pretty darn good. It may not happen the next time he's in contention, but I expect he'll figure it out sooner rather than later.
