Louis Oosthuizen finds the water with his approach on the par 5 15th hole

The water at the 15th claimed two victims within a matter of moments during the opening round at Augusta National.

Louis Oosthuizen was two over par with Adam Hadwin three over as the pair prepared to take their approach shots.

Hadwin stepped up first but failed to get enough on the shot and could only watch as his ball landed on the green before slowly starting to trickle back towards, and eventually into, the water.

Having watched all of this unfold, Oosthuizen was next to play but he did not heed the warning of his Canadian playing partner as he produced a near-identical shot that brought about the same result.

While Hadwin managed to recover and get away with just a single dropped shot, Oosthuizen was not so fortunate. The South African struggled his way to a triple-bogey eight to drop back to five over.
