Jamie Donaldson takes on the 240-yard par-three fourth at Augusta in the Shot Centre

Jamie Donaldson may not be featuring at this year’s Masters, but the Welshman came agonisingly close to an Augusta ace in the Shot Centre.

The Welshman was in the studio during Sky Sports' live coverage of the Shell Houston Open - the final event ahead of the opening major of the year - where he had the chance to familiarise himself with one of the course's signature holes.

Donaldson, who finished tied-21st in last year's event, tackled the 240-yard par-three fourth and ripped his tee shot over the greenside bunker and straight towards the flag.

His effort landed on the front edge of the green and took another hop before racing towards the pin, only to drift inches past the left side of the cup and finish seven feet past.
