"It was all a bit of a rush job," she said. "I was due on air on Sky Sports News about 40 minutes later, so I had my dress on, my high heels on, and I had just come straight from make-up to the shot centre.

"I warned everyone I might not be very good, just grabbed a six-iron and luckily it went to nine feet. That felt fantastic, and at least I didn’t have to putt out!

"I was really impressed with myself because I wasn’t sure I’d be able to do that wearing high heels. But I was “in the zone” and it felt quite nice to beat everyone else – not that I’m competitive at all!

"And I can honestly say that was the first golf shot I had ever hit wearing high heels, but I doubt if it is something I will try again!"
