With the opening major of the year just over a week away, we continue our countdown to the Masters by looking back at another iconic Augusta image – Bubba Watson’s draw from the straw from 2012.
Watson began the day three off the lead but rattled four consecutive birdies on the back nine to post a four-under 68 and force a play-off against former Open champion Louis Oosthuizen.
After the pair exchanged pars at the 18th - the first play-off hole - Watson appeared to have seen his hopes of Green Jacket victory dashed when he hooked his drive at the next.
With his ball sitting on pine straw in the trees some way right of the 10th fairway, Watson played one of golf's great draws to hook his ball on to the green and watch it spin to less than 10-feet from the pin.
That recovery left a two-putt par for victory and the first of Watson's two Masters title, with the American famously bursting in to tears after nudging home his winning putt.
