Lee Westwood took on a unique golfing challenge by putting his short-game skills to the test ahead of the British Masters supported by Sky Sports.
The former world No 1 - host of this year's event at Close House - was set the task of trying to hit balls on to a floating green on the River Tyne, overlooking the world-famous Tyne Bridge.
Westwood was joined by former Newcastle United goalkeeper Steve Harper and ex-Olympic triple-jumper Jonathan Edwards, who all attempted to find the target from 100 yards.
"I guess it's my job to hit greens but they don't tend to be floating ones, so I was pleased to hit a few on there as it was moving a fair bit," Westwood said.
"We're getting close to the tournament now - it's only a few weeks away and everybody is really looking forward to it.
"It's great to be holding such as prestigious event in this part of the world and we're excited to be welcoming everyone to the north east at the end of the month."
The Tyne Challenge was the latest innovative way to promote this year's British Masters, where Masters champion Sergio Garcia and former major winners Danny Willett and Graeme McDowell all feature.
