US Open Brooks Koepka has confirmed he is ready to return from injury and will make his first PGA Tour appearance in four months at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans.

The world No 9 has not featured competitively since finishing last at the Sentry Tournament of Champions in January, with Koepka having undergone treatment on a partially torn tendon in his wrist.

Koepka had hoped to return in time for the Masters, but will make his comeback alongside Marc Turnesa in the two-man team event at TPC Louisiana.

"It was torn a lot worse than they originally thought," said Koepka. "The ligaments that hold the tendon in place were gone. Every time I went to the doctor, it seemed like it got worse and worse.

"I know where I'm at. I'm already back. I've played the game for 23, 24 years. Four months off, I'm not going to lose it."

Koepka followed his maiden major win at Erin Hills last summer with eight top 20s in his next nine worldwide starts before the injury, including victory at the Dunlop Phoenix on the Japan Golf Tour.
