Former NFL star Tony Romo missed the cut on his PGA Tour debut after finishing bottom of the leaderboard at the Corales Puntacana Resort & Club Championship.
The ex-Dallas Cowboys star, a sponsor's invite, followed his opening-round 77 with a 10-over-par 82 on Friday to prop up the 132-man field in the Dominican Republic.
Romo mixed two birdies with six bogeys and three double-bogeys to post the worst round of the day, leaving the 37-year-old some 28 strokes adrift of midway pacesetter Brice Garnett.
Beginning on the back nine, Romo failed to get up-and-down from a greenside bunker on his way to a bogey-five at the 10th and missed the next green on his way to another blemish.
The amateur bogeyed his next four holes before seeing his run end with a two-putt par at the 16th, only to rack up a double-bogey at the 18th and reach the turn in 44.
Romo took two out of the bunker on his way to a double-bogey at the second, before posting birdies at the fourth and sixth either side of a three-putt double-bogey at the fifth.
At 15-over for the tournament, Romo missed the cut by 16 shots and was six strokes worse off than closest challenger Rhadames Pena.
