Jordan Spieth might be languishing 10 shots off the lead at the Sony Open in Hawaii, but the three-time major champion drained a remarkable 90-foot birdie putt in the second round.
The 24-year-old sits in a tie for 48th position in the field after being limited to four birdies, during a two-under 68, in ideal scoring conditions at the Waialae Country Club.
Nevertheless, Spieth still showcased his putting expertise with a monster effort on the par-four fifth green as playing partners Xander Schauffele and Daniel Berger watched in disbelief.
Spieth, whose opening round was hit by a late quadruple-bogey, has gained a reputation for his putting ability during his career to date, including a thrilling final-round duel with Matt Kuchar at The Open last summer, and provided a further reminder of his talent.
The putt becomes Spieth's longest of his impressive career, beating a previous 52-foot effort at the Valspar Championship in 2016.
