Tiger Woods rolled back the years with an encouraging four-under on day two of the Hero World Challenge, and here we break down his hole-by-hole performance ...
Woods was not holding back with his opening drive as he ripped it 335 yards straight down the middle before clipping a wedge to five feet, and the putt was never in doubt. BIRDIE
A cautious tee shot to the heart of the green, and although he raced his birdie putt four feet past the cup, he holed the return with confidence. PAR
Another good drive and a solid second finds the putting surface at the par five. Woods was again heavy-handed with his first putt, but he nailed the return from seven feet. BIRDIE
Perfect drive followed by another precise wedge to four feet to set up his third gain in four holes. BIRDIE
Woods gave himself another good look at birdie from 15 feet, but his attempt had a little too much steam and lipped out. PAR
Chasing a fourth birdie in five holes, Tiger really climbed into his drive but pulled it into the left rough which took out going for the green in two. Another misjudgement on the green, but he did well to hole from five feet to avoid a blemish. PAR
Woods elected to lay up from the tee rather than have a pop at the green with a driver, and his move backfired as he pulled his long iron into the thick rough on the left. He dumped his second into a greenside bunker, but made a nice up-and-down from the sand. PAR
Long par-three into the wind, and Tiger's flushed four-iron came up a little short and left him a tricky pitch. But his chipping frailties of day one were a distant memory as his sublime pitch settled two feet from the hole. PAR
Over 600 yards long, but Woods hammered a huge drive and then launched a towering three-wood from 271 yards which landed softly, pin high, and 20 feet from the flag. The putt for a three found the target, and that prompted another fist pump as he claimed the outright lead. EAGLE
Woods came up short of the green with his approach, but his renewed confidence with a wedge was evident as he left himself a tap-in for a regulation four. PAR
Tiger reclaimed the outright lead, although he had to do it the hard way after his second from the fairway leaked a little right and missed the target. But he atoned with another delightful pitch which almost found the cup and set up an easy four. BIRDIE
First mistake of the day for the tournament host as his second finished at the back of the green, and his first putt from close to 50 feet trundled 15 feet past the hole before he missed the return. BOGEY
Another driveable par-four, but Woods again took the conservative approach from the tee before knocking his second to 20 feet and shaving the hole for birdie. PAR
Woods hammered another impressive drive down the pipe, but his lob wedge from 84 yards was a little loose and he two-putted from 15 feet. PAR
Tiger set up another great chance for birdie after finding another fairway and knocking his second to the par-five to the front fringe. But his eagle putt was woefully over-hit and raced 20 feet long, and he was unable to hole the return. PAR
A blocked drive into the sandy waste area on the right, but he made perfect connection with his second and safely two-putted from the back edge of the green. PAR
Not the best of swings from the tee to the long, tricky par-three as he found the front-right portion of the green, some 70 feet from the flag. With the fringe in his line, Tiger opted to chip from the putting surface, and he pulled it off as he clipped it to within two feet. PAR
Another pushed drive which ended up in a deep foot print in the sand to the right of the fairway. Woods gouged his second back to the fairway, but his third leaked right and his par-saving putt from the fringe pulled up inches short. BOGEY
