Tournament host Sergio Garcia survived a final-round tussle with Joost Luiten to claim a one-shot win at the Andalucia Valderrama Masters.
The Masters champion carded a four-under 67 at Valderrama to stay ahead of Luiten and secure a sixth European Tour title on Spanish soil.
Victory is Garcia's third of the season and sees him close the gap on Tommy Fleetwood at the top of the Race to Dubai standings, with Luiten grabbing second spot after ending the week on 12 under.
Daniel Brooks secured his European Tour playing privileges for 2018 by posting a level-par 71 to grab third position, with Jamie Donaldson a further two strokes back in fourth.
Brooks grabbed an early share of the lead with a birdie at the second, only for Garcia to edge back ahead with a close-range gain at the par-five fourth.
Luiten moved up the leaderboard with three birdies in a five-hole stretch from the fifth, as Garcia rolled in a 10-foot gain at the ninth and holed another from a similar distance at the next to move two clear.
The Spaniard briefly increased his lead to three with a six-foot gain at the 11th, but bogeyed the next and saw his advantage cut to one when Luiten carded a three at the par-four 13th.
Luiten capitalised on Garcia's missed birdie attempt at the 14th to convert a 12-foot gain at the next and pull the contest all-square, but three-putted the next for a first bogey of the day.
The two players exchanged birdies at the 17th to leave Garcia one ahead heading to the last, where the world No 11 nudged in for par to secure a third win of the season.
