Tommy Fleetwood and Andy Sullivan have confirmed they will join the star-studded field for the British Masters supported by Sky Sports later this month.
The popular English duo are looking forward to joining tournament host Lee Westwood at Close House as they tee up alongside the likes of Masters champion Sergio Garcia, last year's winner Alex Noren and fan favourite Andrew "Beef" Johnson.
Fleetwood has enjoyed the best year of his career, with victories in Abu Dhabi and France as well as a runner-up finish at the WGC-Mexico Championship and a superb performance at the US Open, where he was fourth after playing the final round with eventual champion Brooks Koepka.
The Southport ace currently leads the Race to Dubai standings and has risen to 16th in the world rankings, and he is relishing the opportunity to play in front of his home fans.
"I'm really looking forward to playing on home soil and in front of our passionate British fans in Newcastle," said the 26 year old, who was 13th in the 2015 British Masters at Woburn and tied for fourth in the event at The Grove last season.
"We have changed golf courses with the tournament hosts for the past few years and wherever we have gone, the support from our fans and the general public has been simply incredible, it really makes it a great atmosphere during the week for everyone involved.
"It really has been a dream year for me so far winning the tournaments in Abu Dhabi and France, playing well at some of the big events and now leading the Race to Dubai as we approach the end of the season.
"Everything away from the course is very exciting for me at the moment and I think that has had a positive impact on my golf game this year. Plus, we are waiting the arrival of our first baby this month as well!
"It's a great field assembling this year and hopefully I can bring that good form with me to the British Masters and be right up there when it counts on Sunday."
Ryder Cup star Sullivan added: "I have some fantastic memories of this event from the past two years and I know Westy will do an unreal job as tournament host. We have a talented group of British players coming through the European Tour ranks right now and I know the fans in Newcastle are going to get right behind us."
