Three-time Open champion gives an extraordinary insight into what makes a Major champion

We continue our countdown to Royal Birkdale by looking back at Gary Player's visit to the Open Zone to demonstrate his extraordinary warm-up routine.

The three-time Open champion joined Claude Harmon III on a sunny day at Royal Troon to show off his impressive fitness regime, where he captivated the watching audience with his words of wisdom after a lifetime following the sport.

"It takes far more than just hitting the golf ball," said Player. "This is a tournament where you've got to have a particularly strong mind as weather conditions change to such a degree."
