Haotong Li's mum was left disappointed after going to extreme levels to try and salvage her son's putter during the opening round of the Open de France.
When Li let his frustration get the better of him and hurled his putter in to a lake at Le Golf National, his mother was lurking close by and keen to fish out the club for another use.
With Thomas Pieters and Tyrrell Hatton part of the next group on the 11th green and looking on, the woman adjusted her clothing and precariously waded into the murky water.
The lady eventually grabbed hold of the flat stick, but what followed left those around the lake and the viewers at home in fits of laughter.
