Webb Simpson enjoyed an outrageous slice of good fortune at The Players Championship as he found the 16th green via a big bounce off a hospitality tent.
Simpson was not having the best of third rounds at TPC Sawgrass and was four over for the day having double-bogeyed the 14th, but he was all smile two holes later.
The former US Open champion went for the green in two from over 250 yards, but he pulled his ambitious second shot way left and shouted "fore" as his ball veered towards spectators enjoying some refreshment.
But his ball cannoned off the side of the tent and headed towards the green, narrowly avoiding a pot bunker and coming to rest short of the water hazard on the other side of the putting surface.
Unfortunately, Simpson could not take advantage of his reprieve and three-putted from 60 feet, and he went on to bogey the last after tugging his second into water as he signed for a 77 which left him at one over par for the tournament.
