Lee Westwood will host the British Masters supported by Sky Sports this September, with the world No 51 looking forward to seeing some of the European Tour’s top players in action at Close House.
Westwood is the second successive former world No 1 to host the event, following on from Luke Donald at the Grove last year.
The Englishman won the event in 2007 during the tournament's first spell on the European Tour and has played in both editions since it returned to the schedule.
The Ryder Cup veteran has been attached as the touring professional at Close House since 2011 and has played a pivotal role in the changes to the venue ready for the event.
Sky Sports News' Keith Downie took over from regular caddie Billy Foster for a day to get a behind-the-scenes look at the Northumberland-based layout, with Westwood explaining what makes the course so great.
