Ryan Brehm must have thought his day could not get any worse after he triple-bogeyed the 14th to slip to eight over for the third day at the Honda Classic, but he would have been wrong!
Brehm looked a forlorn figure as he teed his ball up at PGA National's dangerous par-three 15th having just written down a seven on his card after pulling his drive out of bounds at 14.
Hoping to avoid a further big number on his card, Brehm wisely opted against attacking the front-right pin location and took the safe line towards the left edge of the green.
His ball flirted with the left bunker and appeared to be landing safely in the fringe, but the golfing Gods saw fit to give him further grief thanks to an unfortunate bounce off a sprinkler head.
Brehm looked on in astonishment as he watched his ball sail over the stand and into another lake beyond the green, and his bad break would ultimately cost him a double-bogey five.
At least he finished his day on a high note as he birdied the last to break 80 but, at seven over par for the tournament, the PGA Tour rookie will be playing for pride on Sunday.
