Shawn Stefani faced a dilemma after pulling a drive into water at the Honda Classic; take a penalty drop or attempt to splash out back to dry land.
Stefani opted for the latter on the par-four sixth hole as he felt he could advance his ball, which was partially submerged in one of the many water hazards at PGA National, further down the fairway to leave him a shorter shot in for his third.
But he then faced another dilemma. With four holes of his second round remaining, did he want to play on with his clothes soaking wet? And then there was a question of safety, with several dangerous reptiles inhabiting the resort.
But the American threw caution to the wind, stripped down to his underwear, and managed to get his ball back onto dry land before getting dressed and continuing his battle to make the halfway cut.
Unfortunately, Stefani clipped his third shot to 10 feet but missed the putt for par, and he dropped another shot at the next to effectively end his chances of avoiding a weekend off.
