Dustin Johnson leapfrogged Jason Day as world No 1 after cruising to a five-shot victory at the Genesis Open.
Heavy rain and strong winds had washed out a large section of Friday's action and delayed the start of Saturday's play, leaving the leading players having to cram in 36 holes on the final day.
Johnson held a one-shot lead at the halfway stage of the weather-affected tournament but extended his cushion to five strokes with a seven-under 64 on Sunday morning.
The US Open champion then posted a final-round 71 to finish comfortably ahead of nearest challengers Thomas Pieters and Scott Brown, ending Day's 11-month stint at the top of the world rankings.
Johnson opened his final round with a two-putt birdie at the par-five first and rolled in from 12 feet at the next to go eight ahead, before draining another from a similar distance at the sixth.
A wayward tee shot at the ninth saw Johnson card a first blemish since Thursday and reach the turn in 33, with the American then squandering a birdie chance from two feet at the 11th.
With victory already all-but assured, Johnson missed a 10-footer to save par at the 15th and failed to get up-and-down from a bunker at the par-three next.
The 33-year-old had to settle for a two-putt par from 10 feet at the 17, before carding another par at the last to see out a convincing victory.
Pieters birdied his final two holes to close a blemish-free round-of-the-day 63, with Brown mixing five gains with a sole blemish to also grab a share of second.
Justin Rose took a share of fourth alongside Kevin Na, Wesley Bryan and Charley Hoffman, with Cameron Tringale in the group on 10 under after double-bogeying his final hole.
Jordan Spieth claimed a share of 22nd and Phil Mickelson finished a further two strokes back after a series of chip-ins during his final round, while Day bogeyed two of his final three holes to end tied-64th.
