Adam Hadwin produced the round of his career with a 13-under 59 during the third round of the CareerBuilder Challenge.
Just nine days after Justin Thomas shot a sub-60 round on his way to victory at the Sony Open, Hadwin repeated the feat at the La Quinta course in California to move top of the leaderboard.
The Canadian drained a 30-footer at the second in the first of six consecutive birdies, before tapping in for par at the eighth.
Another gain at the par-four ninth saw Hadwin reach the turn in 29, with a tap-in at the 11th sparking a run of five straight birdies.
Hadwin rolled in from six feet at the 17th to go 13 under for the day and need a par at the last to become only the eighth player in PGA Tour history to break 60 in a round.
