Londoner Joe Miller has been crowned the world long driving champion for 2016.
The 31-year-old claimed the title for a second time, beating American Ryan Steenberg in the final with a best effort of 423 yards. Steenberg, who teed-off first, blasted his drive 412 yards.
However, both men had smacked longer drives earlier in the competition, with Miller posting 439 in his semi-final victory over Justin Moose - which was the furthest drive of the night.
Miller, who was also victorious in 2010, received $125k for his efforts and told the Golf Channel afterwards: "It's a real honour to be standing here. It's been building up since 2010. I've been working hard, training hard."
But Miller's distances were still short of the world record recognised by Guinness Records. This honour belongs to Mike Austin whose drive measured 515 yards, as long ago as 1974, with a persimmon wood driver.
This year's World Long Drive Championship, which ended at Thackerville, Oklahoma, began back in May and involved 12 qualifying events through to this week's final stages.
