Watch as Matteo Manassero chips in from the edge of the green during the third round of the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open at Castle Stuart.

After pulling his second-shot slightly right of the target on the 15th, Manassero was hoping to get up and down to save par - but his chip found the bottom of the cup instead.

Having led the rest of the field in the early stages of the third round, Manassero had given both his lead and two shots back to the course with bogeys on the seventh and 10th holes.

Italy's Matteo Manassero acknowledges the fans after holing out for birdie at the 18th hole during day two of the 2016 AAM Scottish Open

With a birdie on the 14th to get back to within one shot, this chip gave him back-to-back birdies to put him at 10-under-par for the tournament.

The 23-year-old Italian is hoping to bag one of the four qualifying spots for The Open this week, and this shot pushed him back to the stop of the leaderboard with Tyrell Hatton and Alex Noren.
