Lee Slattery is tied for the lead at the Shenzhen International as further bad weather forced the tournament into a Monday finish at Genzon Golf Club.
Electrical storms delayed play for over six and a half hours over the first two days, and the adverse weather returned on Sunday and caused another significant suspension.
When the players finally got back onto the course, Slattery, Soomin Lee and Alexander Levy all shared the lead on 14 under before darkness forced the field back to the clubhouse.
Slattery, who has dropped only three shots all week, is two under for the final round with five holes to complete along with long-time leader Lee, while Levy will return at 6:30am (local time) on Monday to tackle his birdie putt at the 13th.
Australian Scott Hend, who made an incredible albatross on day three, claimed the clubhouse lead on 13 under after closing with a flawless six-birdie 66, while Joost Luiten is tied for fourth with three holes to play and Brandon Stone is on the 14th hole.
Lee had opened up a five-shot lead after the third round resumed early on Sunday morning, the young South Korean resuming on the 12th and reeling off three consecutive birdies from the 13th, but he then came to grief at the long 17th and scrapped his way to an ugly double-bogey seven.
A par at 18 gave Lee a three-shot advantage after 54 holes over Levy, Slattery and Callum Shinkwin, who completed a stunning 62 on Saturday, and Lee then began his last round with a bogey at the first.
Levy birdied the fifth and Slattery followed five pars with a nice three at the sixth, and Lee ran into further trouble at the next when he hit a wild drive and was unable to find his ball in the thick undergrowth.
It cost him another double-bogey, and Slattery rolled in a good putt for a birdie at the ninth to take the outright lead over the Frenchman before play was suspended as the electrical storms closed in overhead.
The players finally returned to the course almost three hours later, and Levy matched Slattery's birdie at nine while Lee produced a spirited response as he picked up shots at the 10th and 13th.
That left the leading three tied at the top when the light faded, while Hend will doubtless be hanging around for another evening after closing on 13 under.
Two-timer Masters champion Bubba Watson produced his best round of the week, with three birdies over the last four holes capping an excellent 66 and lifting him into the top 10 on 10 under par.
