Sergio Garcia and Adam Scott are set for a final-round shoot-out after moving in to a share of the lead at the Honda Classic, as Rickie Fowler's victory hopes stuttered.
Scott saw a three-stroke advantage disappear when he found the water twice at the same hole along PGA National's infamous Bear Trap, but recovered to post a four-under 66 and share the advantage with Garcia.
Resuming one shot clear, Fowler carded his first bogey of the week and lost his lead when he sent his approach at the third in to the hazard and two-putted from the fringe.
Playing partner Walker, who was introduced under the wrong name prior to his third round, briefly moved out ahead by rolling in an eight-footer at the same hole, but saw Garcia post a hat-trick of birdies to go two clear.
Garcia picked up another shot at the eighth to get to 10 under, only to reach the turn in a tie for the lead with Scott after the Australian drained a 45-footer at the sixth in his first of four consecutive birdies.
A third dropped shot of the round saw Fowler head in to the back nine four off the pace, as Scott followed an 18-foot gain at the 12th with another birdie at the next to open up a three stroke advantage.
The momentum at the top changed again when Scott drilled his tee shot at the 15th in to the hazard and found the water again from the drop zone, running up a quadruple-bogey seven to move Garcia back on top.
Fowler's struggles continued over the closing stretch, slipping further off the pace by posting a three-putt bogey from long range at the 14th and failing to card a birdie during his four over 74.
After Garcia and Scott exchanged pars at the 16th, the Spaniard found the bunker off the next tee and couldn't save par from the fringe, as the former world No 1 coaxed in a birdie-two to retake the lead.
As Scott's birdie chance at the last curled wide of the cup, Garcia pushed in a six-footer to close a third-round 67 and put the pair all square at the top of the leaderboard.
"I played really good again," Scott told Sky Sports. "I feel really happy with where the game is at. Shame about 15 but that's this golf course, the Bear Trap got me today.
"It was the wrong time to make a bad swing on the tee and it put me in an awkward spot. I thought I hit a good third shot, but the wind did not get the ball at all and I ended up making seven.
"I would love to play the first 14 holes tomorrow like I did today but it's going to be hard. This is a tough course and tomorrow there's always a little bit more pressure."
Blayne Barber sits four shots back in outright third, with Fowler alongside Justin Thomas a further stroke behind on four under.
Three birdies on the back nine from Graeme McDowell lifted him to three under alongside Scott brown and Vijay Singh, who temporarily held outright third after four gains on his opening six holes but fell back with a four-putt double-bogey at the 15th.
A joint-lowest round-of-the-day 66 lifted Billy Horschel back under par for the week, as one-time leader Walker finished with a birdie to close a bogey-filled 79.
