Lee Westwood finished off his Open de France in style with a stunning hole-out eagle during the final round at Le Golf National.

The Englishman carded a one-under 70 on Sunday to end the week inside the top-10, with one shot standing out from his up-and-down display.

Westwood birdied the second and posted back-to-back gains from the 10th to surge up the leaderboard, before bouncing back from a blemish at the 12th with a special moment at the par-four next.

After finding the rough from the tee to the left of the fairway, Westwood's approach found the heart of the green and took a couple of short hops as it raced in to the cup for an eagle-two.

The huge moment temporarily closed the gap on leader and eventual winner Tommy Fleetwood, but three bogeys along the closing stretch saw Westwood finish seven strokes back.
