Tyrrell Hatton was millimetres away from firing a hole-in-one during the opening round of the BMW PGA Championship.
The Englishman posted a three-under 69 in glorious conditions at Wentworth, where he was all-so close to posting the first ace of the week.
Hatton posted an opening-hole birdie and cancelled out a blemish at the third with a gain at the ninth to reach the turn in 34.
The world No 16 bounced back from a dropped shot at the 11th with a birdie-four at the 12th, before attacking the flag with his tee shot at the par-three 14th.
He saw his effort comfortably find the dancefloor and kick up towards the pin, with his ball shaving the edge of the cup before stopping to leave a kick-in birdie.
