Image: Andy Frampton: Really should have score

Andy Frampton missed a golden opportunity to give AFC Wimbledon all three points as they were held to a 0-0 draw at home to Plymouth.

Frampton somehow fired into the side-netting from six-yards out on the stroke of half-time, while Bobby Reid's first-half drive was the closest the visitors came to scoring. The first real opportunity of the game fell to Matt Tubbs after 11 minutes after Dannie Bulman shrugged off Reid in the middle of the park, but the striker's low effort was tipped around the near post by Luke McCormick. But Reid then responded for the visitors with a fierce effort from 25-yards. James Shea got down well to his right to turn the ball away, before Frampton's howler from Adebayo Akinfenwa's unselfish lay-off. The game got significantly cagier after the interval with Akinfenwa coming closest to breaking the deadlock after 70 minutes. He saw his looping header come back off the crossbar after he rose highest to a long free-kick, but neither side could make the breakthrough.
