Gerba and Chadwick on target in win
MK Dons kept their hopes of an automatic League One promotion place alive as they defeated Bristol Rovers 2-1.
After a quiet start, the Dons went ahead in the 30th minute when Ali Gerba used all of his strength to outmuscle his marker and hit a fierce shot past keeper Steve Phillips at his near post.
In the 50th minute the Dons doubled their lead when Gerba flicked a clever ball through for Luke Chadwick to slot home from close range.
Steve Elliott forced a nervous finish when he headed home Stuart Campbell's corner with six minutes left, but the hosts held on for a vital three points.
