Rovers stretch unbeaten run
Darryl Duffy cancelled out Dennis Lawrence's opener as Bristol Rovers stretched their unbeaten run to six with a 1-1 draw at Crewe.
Jeff Hughes almost gave Rovers a dream start, cracking a dipping 20-yard volley off the crossbar before Crewe's Joel Grant had a strike ruled out after the referee spotted a foul by Marlon Broomes on Chris Lines in the build-up.
Broomes went close with a header for the Alex after the break before Lawrence gave the Railwaymen a deserved 70th-minute lead.
Billy Jones's superb free-kick was turned on to the bar by Clayton Donaldson but defender Lawrence was on hand to sidefoot into the empty net.
The hosts' lead lasted just four minutes as substitute Joe Kuffour hit the post and Duffy fired the loose ball into the net.
Byron Moore should have won it for Crewe but the winger turned his near-post shot inches wide before Craig Disley and then Kuffour were denied at the other end by two superb John Ruddy stops.
