England continue their Euro 2016 campaign with a mouth-watering showdown against Wales in Lens on Thursday afternoon.
Roy Hodgson's men will be eager to bounce back from their 1-1 draw with Russia on Saturday against the Group B leaders, who beat Slovakia 2-1 in their opening fixture.
In Group C, Northern Ireland play Ukraine in the second game of the day in Lyon, with Germany facing Poland at the Stade de France at 8pm. Here, we pick out a player to watch in each fixture…
Wayne Rooney (ENGLAND v Wales, 2pm, Lens)
Premier League viewers will be very familiar with the names and faces in England's clash with Wales, but the encounter will provide another opportunity to see how Wayne Rooney fares in his new midfield role. The Three Lions captain was widely praised for his performance against Russia, with Jack Wilshere describing him as "the best player on the pitch" after the game.
Roy Hodgson was forced to defend his decision to withdraw Rooney before Russia's late equaliser, but the 30-year-old is expected to keep his place in midfield against Wales. Alongside Eric Dier and Dele Alli, Rooney will need to show the same combination of passing prowess and defensive dedication to ensure England win the midfield battle.
Yevhen Konoplyanka (UKRAINE v Northern Ireland, 5pm, Lyon)
Ukraine made a losing start to their Euro 2016 campaign against Germany on Sunday, but their rapid counter-attacks showed how dangerous they can be going forward. Northern Ireland will need to pay particularly close attention to Yevhen Konoplyanka, the tricky left winger who came close to joining Liverpool before his move from Dnipro to Spanish side Sevilla last summer.
The 26-year-old has pace, creativity and a keen eye for goal, and he has scored 13 goals in 54 appearances for his country since his debut in 2010. Konoplyanka's mesmerising dribbling and accurate delivery are vital to Mykhaylo Fomenko's side, and he also loves to cut inside and use his favoured right foot. Only one of Ukraine's outfield players had more touches than him against Germany. He is likely to be heavily involved in Lyon on Thursday afternoon.
Bartosz Kapustka (Germany v POLAND, 8pm, Saint-Denis)
Amid a host of A-list stars, Poland teenager Bartosz Kapustka is a lesser-known name to watch in their clash with Germany at Saint-Denis. The 19-year-old is one of the youngest players at the Euros, but he has already scored twice in eight appearances for his country, and he eclipsed Robert Lewandowski with a man-of-the-match performance in Poland's 1-0 win over Northern Ireland on Sunday.
Kapustka's silky footwork and clever movement caught the eye, and his composure and fearlessness was equally impressive for such a young player. Germany will present a far tougher test than Northern Ireland, but Kapustka has already done enough to suggest he could be one of the tournament's breakout stars. If he continues in the same vein, Polish side Cracovia might struggle to keep hold of him this summer.
