Bayern Munich maintained their lead at the top of the Bundesliga with a hard-fought 1-0 win at home to second-bottom Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday.
A sensational overhead volley from Franck Ribery midway through the first half was enough to keep the defending champions five points clear of second-place Borussia Dortmund, with just six games remaining in the season.
Ribery, who has missed most of the season with an ankle injury, scored the only goal of the match as Bayern set a new Bundesliga record for the longest run without conceding a goal against one team.
Frankfurt have now failed to find the net in their last 757 minutes against the Bavarians.
"We started really well and had a lot of good plays. Not only Franck's amazing goal," said Bayern manager Pep Guardiola.
"It would have been easier if we had scored a second goal."
Second-placed Dortmund kept alive their faint title hopes with a 3-2 win at home to relegation-threatened Werder Bremen.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang put the hosts ahead with a fine finish eight minutes after the half-time break.
However, Alejandro Galvez pulled a goal back with a deflected effort before Zlatko Junuzovic put the visitors ahead with just 15 minutes remaining.
Shinji Kagawa equalised almost immediately for Thomas Tuchel's side, who went on to take all three points when Adrian Ramos headed in a winner with five minutes left.
Meanwhile, Schalke missed out on an opportunity to move back into the Champions League places after suffering a 3-0 loss at mid-table Ingolstadt.
Moritz Hartmann opened the scoring from the penalty spot before Lukas Hinterseer and Dario Lezcano rounded off a comfortable win for the Bavarians.
Darmstadt and Stuttgart both missed out on an opportunity to move further away from the drop zone after holding each other to an entertaining 2-2 draw.
