Aymen Abdennour uploaded a picture to Facebook showing his wound after his clash with Luis Suarez during Valencia's 1-1 draw with Barcelona at the Mestalla.
Suarez appeared to stand on Abdennour's foot just after half-time during Saturday's match, and the Valencia defender took to social media to show the wound to his leg after the game, along with the caption #Suarez.
The Barcelona striker, who scored his 10th goal in his last seven appearances to put Barca ahead, insisted the clash was unintentional and apologised to the Morocco international.
"I did not stand on Abdennour's foot on purpose," Suarez said after the match. "I turned around, I stepped on him and that is why I apologised."
The Uruguay international opened the scoring for Luis Enrique's side shortly after the incident, only for Santi Mina to equalise for Valencia in the 86th minute with the club's new head coach Gary Neville watching from the stands.
Neville will take charge of Valencia for the first time on Wednesday, when they welcome Lyon to the Mestalla for a must-win Champions League match. His first La Liga game will be next Sunday, when Valencia travel to Eibar, live on Sky Sports.
