Robbie Neilson's summer recruitment has continued with the additions of Conor Sammon and Faycal Rherras to the Hearts squad.
One day after completing the acquistion of Robbie Muirhead, Neilson has snapped up former Kilmarnock striker Sammon and Belgian defensive prospect Rherras.
Sammon, 29, moves to Edinburgh on a three-year deal after his contract at Derby County expired, having originally come to prominence at Rugby Park.
He joined then Premiership side Wigan Athletic in 2011 before moving to Derby in a £1.2m deal a year later.
He scored 10 goals in 83 appearances for the Rams but has spent the last two seasons on loan at Ipswich, Rotherham and Sheffield United.
Belgian-born Moroccan Rherras, 23, was with Belgian side Sint-Truiden where he made 49 appearances over two seasons. The left-back has international experience with the Morocco U23 side.
Neilson told the club website: "I'm delighted to get both players to Tynecastle.
"Conor brings a lot of experience to the squad. He knows the Scottish game well after a successful period at Kilmarnock and has played at the highest level down in England.
"Faycal is a player with real potential and will be a big boost to the defence. He's played at a good level in Belgium and has been involved in the Moroccan international scene so it's quite a coup to get him.
"Both players will add a lot to the squad and I'm looking forward to working with them."
