Coles stunner sinks Chairboys

Exeter captain Danny Coles won three points for his side with a stunning back-heel in a 3-2 victory over Wycombe.

The Grecians started promisingly, but Wycombe went in front when Gareth Ainsworth let fly from 25 yards and his shot took a huge deflection before nestling in the Grecians' goal in the fourth minute. Exeter were playing all the football and deservedly pulled level before the half hour. Jimmy Keohane, on his Football League debut, fed the ball to Arron Davies and he cut in from the left wing to drill a low shot into the far corner. Wycombe went back in front six minutes into the second half. Joel Grant broke at pace from a cleared Exeter corner and crossed for Dean Morgan to nod in at the back post. Two minutes later, Exeter levelled. Kevin Amankwaah's pass found Jamie Cureton and he lashed home his sixth goal of the campaign from 15 yards. Exeter won the points in the 67th minute and climbed up to third in the League Two table when Coles back-heeled in after the excellent Keohane headed Davies' corner back across goal.
