Doncaster Rovers have handed teenage goalkeeper Jon Maxted his first professional contract.
Maxted was part of last season's successful youth team, while he also featured on the bench for the first team on seven occasions. "It feels amazing," Maxted told the club's official website. "Just being part of the first team is unbelievable. I want to follow in Gary Woods' footsteps really, he came here when he was younger and got into the team and I just want to do the same. "Last season the way we played gave us all a lot of confidence and I think the lads coming through the system now can look up to us and believe that they can get pro contracts too."
