Crewe have activated one-year options on Ollie Turton and Jon Guthrie, but youngsters Billy Waters and Liam Nolan have been released.
Turton, who made 49 appearances last season, has become one of the more established members of Steve Davis' team, with Guthrie also thriving as a key figure since his arrival in 2012. However, Waters, who played 21 times last campaign, saw his chances in the team limited due to the arrivals of Nicky Ajose, Uche Ikpeazu and Lauri Dalla Valle. Similarly, Nolan's first-team opportunities have not been as frequent due to the recruitments of James Ness, on loan from Stoke, and James Jones' graduation from the academy.
